Lynx Loan Platt To Providence

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta Lynx announced that defenseman Jason Platt has been loaned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Augusta is the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

In two games with Augusta, Platt had one power-play goal and two penalty minutes.

Selected in the eighth round (247th overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old has played the last two seasons in the AHL where he had five points (0g-5a) in 60 regular season games and one assist in seven playoff games for Iowa in 2005-06 and two points (1g-1a) in 44 games with Edmonton in 2004-05.
