Lynx Sign Corbeil,
Receive Riddle From Portland

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta Lynx announced that they have signed ECHL All-Star center Nicolas Corbeil and that they have been assigned left wing Jake Riddle by the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the third round (88th overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old represented Mississippi at the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game, registering an assist on the game’s first goal.

The 5-foot-11 and 177-pound Corbeil had 26 points (13g-26a) in 53 games with Mississippi before being traded to San Diego where he had two points (1g-1a) in 13 games. He also played in the American Hockey League with Hershey scoring one goal in three games.

In his first professional season in 2003-04, the 21-year-old Corbeil scored 24 points (9g-15a) in 31 games with Pee Dee of the ECHL while also playing one game in the AHL with Norfolk.
