Lynx Trade McKee To Phoenix, Receive Toneys

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta Lynx announced that they have traded goaltender Dave McKee to the Phoenix RoadRunners in exchange for defenseman Nick Toneys and future considerations.

The Lynx are the ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Toneys has seven penalty minutes in five games for Phoenix.

The 23-year-old McKee was 29-15-2 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 3.35 and a save percentage of .898 in 52 games as a rookie for Augusta in 2006-07 while also playing in the AHL where he was 5-2-0 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 2.85 and a save percentage of .899 with Portland. He also spent time as a backup goaltender for the Ducks in the NHL, but did not play in a game.
