MacDonald is AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

Elmira Jackals’ defenseman Jacob MacDonald is the
AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for December after leading the league lead with a plus-minus rating of +13.

MacDonald posted an even or better rating in 12 of his 13 games during the month highlighted by a +4 on Dec. 12 in a 4-0 win against Norfolk and a +2 in four other games.

The 22-year-old has 18 points (8g-10a) and is a +12 in 33 games with the Jackals this season. His eight goals are tied for third among ECHL defensemen.

A native of Fernley, Nev., MacDonald made his professional debut with Elmira last season posting three points (1g-2a) in eight games. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at Cornell University where he had 21 points (4g-17a) in 104 career games.

In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Jacob MacDonald with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Jackals’ home game.
