CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with defenseman David MacDonald for the 2013-14 season.
MacDonald, a Baddeck, Nova Scotia native, will embark on his second full season of professional hockey this fall. A year ago, the rear guard amassed 21 points (7g-14a) in 62 regular season games. He also contributed six points (1g-5a) in 16 postseason contests. In addition to spending some time in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage during training camp, MacDonald earned his first in-season call-up on March 7, 2013 – and went on to log four games with an assist while in a Rampage jersey. After completing Cincinnati’s postseason run, he was called upon to join the Providence Bruins in the Calder Cup playoffs.
