MacDonald Returns To Royals From Providence

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that right wing Kirk MacDonald has returned to the team from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

The 24 year old attended training camp and appeared in one game for Providence.

He had 34 points (14g-20a) and 37 penalty minutes in 43 regular season games and two goals and four penalty minutes in three Kelly Cup Playoff games as a rookie in 2007-08 with the Florida Everblades while also playing in the AHL where he had two points (1g-1a) and two penalty minutes in 11 regular season games and one goal and two penalty minutes in four playoff games for Albany.
