MacIntyre Assigned From Grand Rapids To Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that goaltender Drew MacIntyre has been assigned from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League and that the team has traded goaltender David Cann to the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for financial considerations.

The Storm is the ECHL affiliate of the Griffins and the Cleveland Barons of the AHL and the Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (121st overall) by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old MacIntyre is 8-3-0 with a goals against of 2.53 and a save percentage of .908 in 12 games with Grand Rapids. He began his professional career in Toledo in 2003-04 and was 6-4-0 with a goals against of 2.61 and a save percentage of .919 in 11 games.
