DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced Wednesday the signing of rookie forwards Jeremie Malouin and Kurtis Bartliff.
The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.
Malouin, 21, is coming off a five-year stint in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he totaled 122 points (60g-62a) in 296 games. The Granby, Quebec native played in 60 games for the Drummondville Voltigeurs last season, and tallied a career-high 30 goals to go along with 112 penalty minutes. He also had four assists in five playoff games.
Bartliff, 23, spent the past four years at Colgate University, racking up 23 goals and 42 assists in 134 games. The Clinton, Ontario native scored nine goals and added eight assists in 36 games as a senior last season.
