Morlang Returns to Royals

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that right wing John Morlang has been returned from the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League and that defenseman Jeff State has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.

The 24-year-old Morlang, who played in two games for Lowell, has played in all nine games with Reading and has five points (3g-2a) and 11 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-7 and 244-pound State has 47 penalty minutes and a plus-minus rating of +2 in nine games with Reading. In his fourth professional season, the 26-year-old played in the AHL with Hartford in 2002-03 and 2003-04 and has four points (1g-3a) and 131 penalty minutes in 49 games.
