Nailers Broadcaster Moving On

WHEELING, W. Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that Ned Bowdern who has been the “Voice of the Nailers” for the past five seasons has resigned to return to his hometown of St. Louis to pursue other opportunities.

Bowdern, who was runner-up for the ECHL Broadcaster of the Year award in 2004-05, has broadcast hockey for 11 seasons.

Bowdern was a member of the radio broadcast team for the 2002 ECHL All-Star Game and also handled the broadcast chores for the Springfield Junior Blues of the North American Hockey League, the Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League, and the Central Texas Stampede of the Western Professional Hockey League.
