Nailers Donate More Than $100,000 To Charity

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that they donated over $100,000 in funds, tickets, merchandise and memorabilia to local non-profit organizations in 2006-07.

Among the organizations that benefited from the team’s generosity were Northern Panhandle Head Start, Mountain State Parents Child & Adolescent Network, Wheeling Soup Kitchen, WV Youth Advocate Programs, Special Olympics, Northwood Health Systems, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Laughlin Memorial Chapel, Children’s Home of Wheeling, House of the Carpenter, St. Alphonsus Youth Center and many more.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
