Nailers Receive Four
From Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that they have been assigned defensemen James Laux and Cliff Loya and forward Bo Cheesman and Sean Collins by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

In his second professional season in 2004-05, the 25-year-old Laux had 22 points (10g-12a) in 56 games with Wheeling.

Selected in the seventh round (207th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Loya had six points (2g-4a) in 66 games with Wheeling in 2004-05.

The 24-year-old Cheesman joined the Nailers in 2004-05 after completing his college season, scoring four points (2g-2a) in eight games. He also played two games with Peoria of the ECHL.

Selected in the ninth round (289th overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old Collins played the last four years at the University of New Hampshire where he led the team in scoring as a senior with 56 points (19g-37a) in 42 games, finishing his career with 173 points (77g-96a) in 164 games.
