Nailers’ Street Recalled By Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announced Monday that forward Ben Street has been recalled by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of Wilkes-Barre Scranton and of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

Street, who was named to the 2011 ECHL All-Star team last week, leads the Nailers in points, posting 14 goals and 18 assists in 30 games played this season. Street is currently second in the league in shots on goal with 152, while leading all ECHL rookies in that category. This is Street’s second stint with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, as he appeared in one game earlier this season on December 15 against Abbotsford.
