New Jersey Signs Mondou To AHL Contract

NEWARK, N.J. – The New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League announced that they have signed forward Benoit Mondou, who played for Trenton in 2006-07, to an American Hockey League contract.

Owned and operated by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League, Trenton is the ECHL affiliate of New Jersey and Lowell of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the eighth round (247th overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 22 year old had 56 points (25g-31a) and 36 penalty minutes in 62 games for Trenton as a rookie in 2006-07.
