Norfolk Signs Defenseman Rosehill

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed defenseman Jay Rosehill.

The Augusta Lynx are the ECHL affiliate of the Admirals of the AHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the seventh round (227th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 23 year old had six penalty minutes in two games with Mississippi in 2007-08 while also playing in the AHL where he had seven points (3g-4a) and 194 penalty minutes in 66 games with Norfolk.

Rosehill had two penalty minutes in one game with Johnstown in 2006-07 while also playing in the AHL where he had six assists and 85 penalty minutes in 64 games with Springfield.

He began his professional career with Johnstown in 2005-06 and had 13 penalty minutes in five regular season games and four penalty minutes in five Kelly Cup Playoff games while also playing in the AHL where he had two points (1g-1a) and 68 penalty minutes in 45 games with Springfield.
