The first two weeks have seen some strong offensive numbers from rookies in the ECHL, including Jason Notermann, who leads Johnstown with seven points and is tied for the ECHL lead with two game-winning goals. Notermann has four goals and is tied for the rookie lead with Columbia’s Jesse Schultz and Columbus’ Tomas Micka. Reading’s David Masse leads all rookies with eight assists and nine points while Notermann, Atlantic City’s Sam Paolini and Pensacola’s Ryan Craig are tied for second in scoring with seven points each. Paolini and Craig each have four assists tying them for second among rookies with Las Vegas’ Justin Kelly, Florence’s Nicols Cobeil, Columbus’ Matt Shelby, Atlantic City’s Jon Cullen and Toledo’s Chris Page. Las Vegas’ Dave Cousineau leads ECHL rookies and is tied for the ECHL lead with three power-play goals and is tied with Notermann for the rookie and ECHL lead with two game-winning goals.
