Oilers agree to terms with rookie forward Toomey


TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Oilers, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, announced the signing of rookie forward Connor Toomey for the 2015-16 season.

Toomey enters his first pro campaign after a senior season at SUNY-Plattsburgh where he appeared in 27 games and led the Cardinals in goals (13), assists (19) and points (32). A native of Billerica, Mass., Toomey helped Plattsburgh capture the 2015 SUNYAC Conference title and was named the SUNYAC Tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Prior to his time in Plattsburgh, the 24-year-old played three seasons at Merrimack College where he recorded 37 points (14g-23a) in 94 career games.
