Oilers Assign Rohlfs From Springfield To Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League have reassigned right wing David Rohlfs from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League to Stockton.

The Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League. Charlie Huddy, who coached in the ECHL in 1996-97, is an assistant coach with the Oilers.

Selected in the fifth round (154th overall) by Edmonton in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 24 year old had 32 points (16g-16a) and 41 penalty minutes in 65 regular season games and appeared in two Kelly Cup Playoff games for Stockton as a rookie in 2007-08. He also played for Springfield in the AHL and had two penalty minutes in two games.
