Ottawa Signs Former Titan Hedlund

OTTAWA, Ontario – The Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League announced that they have signed former Trenton Titans defenseman Andy Hedlund.

Hedlund played two regular season games and six Kelly Cup Playoff games with Trenton after completing his college season at Minnesota State University Mankato in 2001-02. He played 13 games with the Titans in 2002-03 scoring three points (1g-2a) before being called up to Binghamton of the American Hockey League where he had eight points (1g-7a) and 48 penalty minutes in 59 regular season games while also playing in 10 playoff games for the Senators.

The 28-year-old played for Krefeld in Germany in 2005-06 and led all defensemen with 34 points (12g-22a) in 52 games.
