Panthers Assign Five Players To Everblades

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have been assigned centers Petr Taticek, Drew Larman and Stefan Meyer and defensemen Jeremy Swanson and Grant McNeill from the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL and the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the first round (9th overall) by the Panthers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old Taticek had 22 points (7g-15a) in 67 games with San Antonio of the AHL in 2004-05 and seven points (2g-5a) in four games with Laredo in the Central Hockey League.

Selected in the second round (55th overall) by the Panthers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old Meyer played the last four years in the Western Hockey League with Medicine Hat where he had 246 points (123g-123a) in 282 regular season games and 29 points (12g-17a) in 43 playoff games.
