Panthers Reassign Shantz From Everblades To Rochester

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie All-Star goaltender David Shantz to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the second round (37th overall) by the Panthers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Panthers, the 20-year-old is 13-7-1 with a goals-against average of 2.96 and a save percentage of .908 in 23 games with the Everblades.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Panthers and the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL and the Albany River Rats of the AHL.
