Panthers Reassign Swanson To Rochester
Everblades Receive Rookie MacDonald

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League have reassigned defenseman Jeremy Swanson to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League while assigning rookie defenseman Franklin MacDonald to the team from Rochester.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Panthers and the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL and the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

In his first professional season, the 21-year-old MacDonald has two assists and 12 penalty minutes in 11 games with Rochester. He played the last three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 73 points (21g-52a) and 274 penalty minutes in 186 regular season games and five assists and 24 penalty minutes in 13 playoff games for Halifax.
