Panthers Sign Osaer

SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced that they have signed goaltender Phil Osaer, who played for the Texas Wildcatters in 2004-05. The Florida Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Panthers.

The 25-year-old had a goals-against average of 3.10 and a save percentage of .917 in 42 games with the Wildcatters and also played three games in the American Hockey League with San Antonio.

Selected in the seventh round (203rd overall) by St. Louis in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-1 and 190-pound Osaer began his professional career in 2001-02 with Peoria of the ECHL and was 16-11-2 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.43 and a save percentage of .912 in 29 games.
