Pensacola Signs Schultz,
Turon Reassigned From Marlies

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that they have signed rookie center Tanner Schultz and that defenseman David Turon has been reassigned from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

The Ice Pilots are the ECHL affiliate of the Marlies of the AHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

The 6-foot-1 and 185-pound Schultz has one assist and 12 penalty minutes in four games with Elmira of the United Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (122nd overall) by the Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to Toronto of the NHL, the 22-year-old Turon has eight points (3g-5a) and 20 penalty minutes in 21 games with Pensacola and one assist and four penalty minutes in three games with the Marlies.
