North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that defenseman Marcus Perrier has agreed to terms with the club, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced.
The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Perrier, 24, led the Stingrays with 155 penalty minutes during his rookie campaign last season and added 19 points (6g-13a) and a plus-minus rating of +18 in 71 games. In the Kelly Cup Playoffs, the Thunder Bay, Ontario, native registered eight points (4g-4a) in 24 contests and helped the Stingrays reached the Kelly Cup Finals for the fourth time in team history.
Prior to turning pro, Perrier skated three seasons with Bowling Green State University totaling 25 points (5g-20a) in 117 games.
