Phoenix Agrees To Terms With
Ballantyne, Hill, Knopp

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Roadrunners announced that they have agreed to terms with defensemen Ed Hill and Paul Ballantyne and forward Ben Knopp.

Selected in the second round (61st overall) by Nashville in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Hill scored a career-best six goals and 25 points in 66 ECHL games with Florida and Peoria in 2004-05.

Selected in the sixth round (196th overall) by Detroit in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Ballantyne scored 15 points (5g-10a) in 31 regular season games and also played in four Kelly Cup Playoff games for Toledo of the ECHL and had one assist in 23 games with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League in 2004-05.

Selected in the third round (69th overall) by Columbus in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Knopp scored 23 points (10g-13a) and had 78 penalty minutes in 49 ECHL games with Dayton and Pee Dee and also played five games in the AHL with Syracuse.
