Estero, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that forwards Matthew Pistilli and A.J. Jenks were returned to the club from their respective loans to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.
Pistilli, 25, signed a PTO with the Checkers on Dec. 27. At the time of his move to the AHL, he was the ECHL’s leading scorer with 36 points (16g-20a) in 28 games, which remains the top scoring mark for the Everblades on the season. While in Charlotte, the Montreal, Quebec native recorded eight points (4g-4a), giving him 205 career professional points.
Jenks, 23, was the Blades’ top-line center when he was loaned to Charlotte on Dec.5. With 16 points (7g,-9a) in 18 games, Jenks is fourth on the Everblades in points per game at 0.89. A native of Wolverine Lake, Mich., Jenks played his amateur hockey for the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL, racking up 193 points (79g-114a) over a four-year career. He also won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2010 World Junior Championships.
