Pittsburgh Reassigns Penner To Wheeling

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Andrew Penner from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League to Wheeling.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of Pittsburgh of the NHL and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.

Signed by Pittsburgh on Aug. 21, 2006, the 24-year-old is 18-7-1 with three shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.91 and a save percentage of .891 in 28 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
