Providence Returns Brown To South Carolina

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that goaltender Mike Brown has been assigned back to the team by the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the fifth round (153rd overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old has played one game for the Stingrays making 39 saves in a 5-4 shootout loss to Columbia.

Under contract to the Boston Bruins, the 6-foot and 200-pound Brown was 17-9-6 with a goals-against average of 2.48 and a save percentage of .931 in 33 games with Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League.
