2015-16 CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week Q&A
Ryan Faragher – November 2-8
ECHL: You’re now in your second year of professional hockey. What knowledge do you feel that you had coming into this season that you may not have had in your rookie season?
Ryan Faragher: Knowing what it takes to prepare for every game and living the professional lifestyle and figuring out what works for you.
ECHL: Last season you spent time with the Grizzlies and the Norfolk Admirals, then of the American Hockey League. What do you notice as the difference between the two levels of play?
RF: The most noticeable difference is the speed at which plays are executed.
ECHL: You previously won the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week in January of this year. Between then and now, what would you say has improved the most about your style of play?
RF: My foot speed and preparation for games mentally.
ECHL: Judging from your Twitter account (@fedz29), you’re a huge music fan. Who is your favorite all-time band? What is your go-to pre-game track(s)?
RF: Very difficult question. I love too many bands to pick one. I’m a big fan of Devin Townsend, Gojira, City and Colour and Led Zeppelin. I have over 10,000 songs in my library. Pre-game tracks change frequently but lately has been the band Cattle Decapitation. ECHL: Looking back on your career to this point, what has been your proudest hockey moments so far?
RF: Advancing to the Frozen Four and my first ECHL and AHL shutouts.
