Rangers Reassign Pikkarainen To Charlotte
Constant Recalled To Hartford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that rookie defenseman Ryan Constant has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Hartford Wolf Pack and that the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie defenseman Hannu Pikkarainen from Hartford to Charlotte.

Charlotte is the ECHL affiliate of the Rangers of the NHL and the Wolf Pack of the AHL.

In his first professional season and under NHL contract to the Rangers, the 23-year-old Pikkarainen has two assists in three games with Charlotte.

In his first professional season, the 21-year-old Constant has 19 points (2g-17a) and 68 penalty minutes in 52 games with Charlotte and has played four games with Hartford.
