Reading Agrees To Terms With Marsh, Wellar

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have agreed to terms with defensemen Patrick Wellar and Tyson Marsh (pictured).

The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

The 6-foot-3 and 210-pounds Wellar had 28 points (8g-20a) and 77 penalty minutes in 52 regular season games and four assists and 40 penalty minutes in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games with Columbia while also playing in the American Hockey League with the Toronto Marlies where he had three points (1g-2a) and 13 penalty minutes in 18 regular season games and one goal and 16 penalty minutes in seven playoff games in 2007-08.

The 24-year-old Marsh had 17 points (3g-14a) and 126 penalty minutes in 61 regular season games with Columbia while also playing in the American Hockey League with the Rockford IceHogs where he had four points (2g-2a) and 19 penalty minutes in 11 regular season games and two assists and four penalty minutes in 12 playoff games in 2007-08.
