Reading's Urban is AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Reading Royals defenseman Denny Urban is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for March after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +16.


Urban was even or better in 12 of his 15 games during the month, including a career-high +5 in the Royals’ season finale on March 31 against Trenton. He posted a +3 rating in back-to-back games against the Titans on March 24 and 25, and was a +2 on March 2 against Elmira and on March 17 against Wheeling.


The 23-year-old finished the season with a +15 rating, and was third among ECHL defensemen with 47 points (12g-35a). He finished second among rookies with 17 power-play assists and was tied for second among first-year players with 22 power-play points.


A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Urban has 56 points (15g-41a) in 86 career games with Reading. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at Robert Morris University, tallying 112 points (28g-84a) in 136 career games.


In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Denny Urban with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner.
