Red Wings Reassign Koopmans To Grand Rapids

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Logan Koopmans to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.

Toledo is the ECHL affiliate of the Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL and the Griffins and the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

Selected in the fifth round (166th overall) by Detroit in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Red Wings, the 22-year-old Koopmans is 10-4-0 with one shutout, a goals-against average of 2.82 and a save percentage of .914 in 14 games with Toledo.
