Reign Sign Rookies Card, Thomassian

ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign announced that they have signed rookie defenseman Ryan Card and rookie forward Eric Thomassian.

The Reign are the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Card has played the last three seasons at St. Thomas University where he had 20 points (7g-13a) and 36 penalty minutes in 74 games from 2005-08.

The 25-year-old Thomassian played in Germany in 2007-08 and had 47 points (21g-26a) in 53 games for Deggendorf.

The first professional sports team in Ontario, Calif., the Reign begin play in the ECHL in 2008-09 and play their first home game on Oct. 25 at the new state-of-the-art Citizens Business Bank Arena, a $130 million multi-purpose facility with 9,736 seats as well as 36 suites, a continuous concourse and a VIP club.
