Rivermen Sign Maiser

PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed left wing Justin Maiser, who played for Peoria in the ECHL in 2004-05. The Alaska Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the Rivermen and the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League.

In his first professional season in 2004-05, the 22-year-old Maiser had 32 points (19g-13a) and 87 penalty minutes in 59 games with the Rivermen and one goal and two penalty minutes in nine games with Worcester of the AHL.

Selected in the fifth round (165th overall) by St. Louis in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Maiser played two seasons at Boston University where he had 45 points (20g-25a) and 131 penalty minutes in 76 games and in 2003-04 with Seattle in the Western Hockey League where he had 27 points (11g-16a) and 119 penalty minutes in 68 games.
