Rivermen Sign Peoria Native Cheesman,
Receive Ramsay From Worcester

PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Rivermen announced that they have signed rookie forward and Peoria native Bo (Michael) Cheesman and that they have received rookie forward Ryan Ramsay from Worcester of the American Hockey League. Peoria is the ECHL affiliate of Worcester of the AHL and St. Louis of the National Hockey League.

The 6-2 and 197-pound Cheesman recently completed a four-year career at Lake Superior State University where he scored 49 points in 144 games. He was team captain as a senior and was named as one of 15 finalists for the 2005 Hockey Humanitarian Award.

In his first professional season, the 5-11 and 185-pound Ramsay scored 16 points (6g-10a) in 38 games with Worcester before being injured on February 23.
