Hegarty, 24, returns for his third professional year after a full season with the Road Warriors in 2013-14. The Arlington, Mass. native compiled 22 points (4g-18a) and a +8 rating in 59 regular-season games while adding two points (1g-1a) in 13 postseason contests. The previous year, Hegarty posted nine points (3g-6a) in 57 games with the Fort Wayne Komets. Hegarty was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Geoffrion, 25, played his first professional season in the Central Hockey League last year with the Arizona Sundogs. The Brentwood, Tenn. native scored 14 points (5g-9a) in 55 regular-season games while adding one goal in eight postseason games. His 168 penalty minutes ranked fourth most in the CHL. Geoffrion played collegiate hockey at the University of Alabama-Huntsville from 2009-13, tallying 17 points (8g-9a) in 106 games. Geoffrion is the great-grandson of Hockey Hall of Famer Howie Morenz and the grandson of Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion, whose number five has been retired by the Montreal Canadiens.
