Greenville, S.C. – The Greenville Road Warriors, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced the team has agreed to terms with third-year forward Scott Fleming for the 2015-16 season.
Fleming, 27, was a work horse for the Fife Flyers of the United Kingdom’s Elite Hockey League last season and averaged nearly a point-per-game. He finished the season fifth on the squad in scoring with 59 points (26g-33a) and added 100 penalty minutes in 62 contests.
A native of Plainfield, Ontario, Fleming spent his rookie season with Fort Wayne in 2013-14 and ranked third on the squad with 49 points (16g-33a) in 62 games. He also tied for the team lead with a +14 rating and earned one promotion to the American Hockey League, playing four games with the Worcester Sharks and registering two assists.
Previously, the 5’11, 170-pound forward spent four seasons at Dartmouth College from 2008-12, where he was a consistent standout and notched 106 points (54g-52a) in 127 contests. He also served as the team’s captain during his senior season and led the club in scoring with 31 points (13g-18a). Fleming made his pro debut with Gwinnett in 2011-12, appearing in six contests.
