RoadRunners Acquire Fitzpatrick From Columbia

PHOENIX – The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that they have acquired the ECHL rights to right wing Chanse Fitzpatrick from the Columbia Inferno in exchange for rookie defenseman Ren Fauci. Phoenix acquired Fauci from the Charlotte Checkers in exchange for future considerations.

The RoadRunners are the ECHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

The 22-year-old Fitzpatrick is currently on loan to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL where he has 20 penalty minutes in nine games.

The 6-foot-1 and 220-pound Fitzpatrick had 16 points (8g-8a) and 99 penalty minutes with Columbia in 2005-06 after he had 47 points (20g-27a) and a team-leading 155 penalty minutes in 66 regular season games and four points (2g-2a) and four penalty minutes in five Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Inferno as a rookie in 2004-05. He also played in the AHL in 2004-05 and had 12 penalty minutes in 12 games for Manitoba.
