RoadRunners Acquire Hornby From Victoria
Phoenix Signs Rookie Defenseman Orr

PHOENIX – The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that they have acquired left wing Greg Hornby (pictured) from the Victoria Salmon Kings in exchange for defenseman Paul Ballantyne.

The RoadRunners also announced that center Daniel Winnik has been reassigned by the Phoenix Coyotes to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League and that they have signed rookie defenseman Kyle Orr.

The RoadRunners are the ECHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Hornby has three points (1g-2a) and 110 penalty minutes in 36 games with Victoria.

The nephew of NHL Hall of Fame defenseman Bobby Orr, the 22-year-old Orr made his debut in Phoenix’s 6-3 loss to Stockton on Tuesday. He began the season in the Central Hockey League where he had two assists and 43 penalty minutes in 32 games for Arizona.
