RoadRunners, Colaiacovo Agree To Terms

PHOENIX – The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that they have agreed to terms with goaltender Paulo Colaiacovo.

The RoadRunners are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. The head coach of Worcester is Roy Sommer, who led Richmond to the Riley Cup championship in 1995 and was named ECHL Coach of the Year in 1995-96 after leading Richmond to the Brabham Cup title with a league-record 105 points. The assistant coach for Worcester is former ECHL player David Cuniff and the equipment manager is Vinny Ferraiuolo, who worked in the ECHL.

The 25 year old played for the Tilburg Trappers of the Dutch Super League where the team finished 30-6-0 and won the Dutch National Championship along with the 2008 Dutch Cup Championship and the 2008 European Super Cup Championship.

The Etobicoke, Ontario native was 43-17-5 with a 2.55 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage in 67 games with the Colorado Eagles in the Central Hockey League from 2004-07.
