Roadrunners Sign McDonald, Woods

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Roadrunners announced that they have agreed to terms with rookie center Craig McDonald and rookie defenseman Brad Woods.

The 21-year-old MacDonald played four seasons at Elmira College and in 2004-05 scored 34 points (18g-16a) in 25 games, finishing second to teammate Jarrett Konkle in the ECAC Division III Western Conference scoring race.

Selected in the sixth round (169th overall) by Florida in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Woods has participated in training camp with the Panthers each of the past two years. He played the last two seasons with St. Thomas University, registering 18 points (6g-12a) and 74 penalty minutes in 45 games.
