PHOENIX – The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that they have signed rookie center Peter Trovato and rookie forward Brad Wanchulak.
Both players are expected to be in the lineup when Phoenix plays at Utah on Friday.
The 24-year-old Trovato has six penalty minutes in five games with Trenton after beginning the season in the United Hockey League where he had seven penalty minutes in three games with Adirondack. In 2004-05 after completing his college career at the University of Massachusetts, Trovato scored eight points (1g-7a) in the final 13 regular season games with Johnstown and played one game in the American Hockey League with Rochester.
The 25-year-old Wanchulak, who attended training camp with the San Diego Gulls, will be making his professional hockey debut after playing at the University of Notre Dame where he had 21 points (7g-14a) in 105 career games.
