READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have traded forward Dave Borrelli to the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for financial and future considerations and that defenseman Reagan Rome has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Manitoba Moose.
The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.
Under contract to Manitoba and assigned to Reading by the Moose on Oct. 22, the 24-year-old Rome has three assists and 12 penalty minutes in six games with the Royals. He has played in Reading each of the past four seasons and in 2005-06 had career highs with 24 assists and 30 points while tying his career best with six goals in 49 games.
Rome has played in the ECHL in each of his first five professional seasons and has 92 points (19g-73a) and 461 penalty minutes in 255 regular season games and six assists and 40 penalty minutes in 26 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with Cincinnati, Jackson, Pensacola and Reading. He has played in the AHL each of the past two years and has four assists and 25 penalty minutes in 15 games with Cincinnati and Manchester.
