ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres and the AHL’s Rochester Americans, announced that the club has signed forward Scott Jacklin to a Standard Player Contract for the 2015-16 season.
Jacklin, 25, enters the professional ranks with Elmira following the conclusion of his collegiate career at Robert Morris University. The 6-foot 185-pound forward finished third on the Colonials as a senior with 33 points (14g-19a) in 37 games, while helping Robert Morris win the Atlantic Hockey Association regular-season championship. Jacklin set career-highs as a junior with 15 goals, 23 assists and 38 points in 40 games. In 143 career NCAA games, the Kimberley, British Columbia native recorded 107 points (48g-59a) and a +30 rating.
Prior to attending Robert Morris University, Jacklin skated in the British Columbia Hockey League for four seasons splitting time between the Cowichan Valley Capitals and the Trail Smoke Eaters. He tallied 194 points (65g-129a) in 209 BCHL contests and was named to the BCHL Interior First All-Star Team in the 2010-11 campaign.
