The 22-year-old went 2-1-0 with two shutouts, a 0.65 goals-against average and a save percentage of .976 in three appearances at Utah last week.
A native of Causapscal, Quebec, Roy made 32 saves to match his season high in a 2-0 loss to the Grizzlies on Wednesday. He ended the week with back-to-back shutouts – stopping 26 shots in a 1-0 shootout win on Friday and turning aside 24 shots in a 3-0 victory on Saturday.
Under a National Hockey League contract with the Calgary Flames, Roy is 3-4-0 with two shutouts in seven appearances with Alaska this season, and is tied for third in the ECHL with a 1.85 goals-against average while ranking seventh with a .934 save percentage. He has also appeared in four games with Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League this season where he is 2-2-0.
Selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round (133rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Roy was traded from the Oilers to the Flames on Nov. 8. He has appeared in 56 career ECHL games with Stockton and Alaska with an overall record of 26-24-5 with seven shutouts, a 2.20 goals-against average and a save percentage of .932. He has also played in 32 career AHL games with Oklahoma City and Springfield.
