Royals’ Kompon Loaned To Binghamton

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that center Mike Kompon has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

In his second professional season, the 23-year-old has 54 points (13g-41a) in 37 games with Reading and one assist in two games with Manchester of the AHL and one goal in three games with Hershey of the AHL.

Kompon had a goal and an assist in Reading’s 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown on Feb. 7 extending his assist streak to 10 games (14a) and his scoring streak to 24 games (7g-32a). Kompon’s streak is the longest scoring streak in the ECHL since Jamey Hicks of Birmingham had a 32-game streak from Dec. 30, 1997-Mar. 7, 1998 which is the third-longest streak in ECHL history.
