Royals Loan Rookie Pietrasiak To Hershey

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that rookie goaltender Jeff Pietrasiak has been loaned to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round (186th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old is 13-13-2 with a goals-against average of 2.98 and a save percentage of .904 in 28 games with Reading after beginning the season with Pensacola where he did not appear in a game.

It is the second call up to Hershey for Pietrasiak, who has also been called up to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL.
