Royals Receive Three Players From Manchester

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that forwards Greg Hogeboom, James Hiebert and Ned Lukacevic have been reassigned to the team from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Monarchs of the AHL and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fifth round (152nd overall) by Los Angeles in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Kings, Hogeboom began the season in Reading and had 13 points (5g-8a) in 10 games before being reassigned to Manchester where he had one assist and two penalty minutes in three games.

Under AHL contract to Manchester, Hiebert also began the season with Reading and had eight points (4g-4a) and 31 penalty minutes in eight games before being recalled on Nov. 10 to Manchester where he had 16 penalty minutes in six games.

Selected in the fourth round (110th overall) by the Kings in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and in his first professional season, the 20-year-old Lukacevic had one goal and nine penalty minutes in 12 games with Manchester.
